Green Cities are NOT only a nice thing to do--  They are one of many ways we must make  
          (allow) our planet last  (6 Billion years) or we will destroy it in the next few years.
    The only way  Landscapes  LOOK ALIVE--IS IF THEY ARE ALIVE.  We have to learn to think of
          ANY PIECE OF LAND----AS INFINITELY MORE VALUABLE THAN ANY BUILDING OR HOUSE.

    Any Landscape which doesn't have as 
    much composting into it as growing 
   out of it--IS  NOT  ALIVE
 Pick up a Composting Textbook and it will tell you: 80 / 20:
80 % Nitrogen (Chopped Leaves) / 20 % Carbon (Wood Chips)

 A bed of crushed stone around
 the house--will keep them out.
 
Large Trees consume ALL the Top soil
beneath them. We must mulch the  
leaves every Autumn. (When you rake
 too hard--you expose the trees' 
capillary feeder roots. These feeder
roots will find nutrition in the natural  
forest---or in a man-managed 
landscape---if we mulch the fallen 
leaves). In the hottest part of Summer
--don't keep scalping ... do a lot of
watering and let some tall grasses grow.
 
 What does the composting ? Microorganisms---our Planet's (immune systems) are made out of many different kinds of them. With the exception of various bad micros--- generated by human mistakes---they are all good guys--and life on Earth--including man--would not exist without them ... not only this--life on Earth is made--mainly of micros. As we have mistakenly killed 1/2 of them--we have
badly damaged the (immune) systems of the planet. Immune systems belong to the planet--much more than to its people (Corona 19). 19 ? We need to back up a century and get closer to the
LAND.

These WOOD CHIPs--often sold in bags--are actually killing--out of 3,500,000 sq. miles of the lower 48--

500,000 sq. miles of Urban, Suburban and some Rural REAL ESTATE.

Wood Chips DO NOT COMPOST WELL--
especially if they've been poisoned--this kills ALL the micros--forever.
The pesticides, herbicides,
soil depletion and compaction
of our corporate agribusiness
are killing another 1,000,000
square miles.
 
   Two reasons they poison the wood
   chips are these: (1) Many people are
      too  lazy to weed their gardens
    -- these poisoned chips are used as an
    herbicide. (2) Any living
   matter place in a sealed bag will
   anaerobically digest (smell a bag
   of wet leaves after a month's time).
 
   When we do tree trimming and pruning   
the 80/20 landscaping chips need to be

stirred into the topsoil immediately or the microorganism hyper activity actually causes them to burn
 (1) Composted Top Soil
 
(2) 50/50 mix of Composted Top Soil--and 80/20--½ composted
(3) 50/50 mix of Composted Top Soil--and 80/20--Raw
(4) 80/20--Raw

Here is how we can REPAIR DEAD SCAPES TREATED WITH POISONED WOOD CHIPS (WHICH NEED TO BE MADE ILLEGAL). CORPORATE AND
MUNICIPAL ENTITIES NEED TO BE FORCED--BY LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL LAW--TO HIRE THE SAME
LANDSCAPE CONTRACTORS BACK--AND PAY 5X AS MUCH-- TO DO THIS WORK PROPERLY--OR LEARN
TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR LANDSCAPES--PUTTING AT LEAST A FULL DAY PER WEEK INTO IT.

 
 
HOMEOWNERS NEED TO LEARN TO DO THIS OR PAY FINES. HAVE A HOSE READY.
 
1st--peel away the poisoned wood chips--by hand--DO NOT USE TOOLS.
As soon as you start to expose the capillary feeder roots--STOP PEELING--
AND WATER THE FEEDER ROOTS THOROUGHLY. Then apply 3" of
(1) Composted Top Soil--Water Again.
 
 
Next--Apply (2) 2" of 50/50 mix of Composted Top Soil--and 80/20--½ composted--Watering a 3rd Time.
 
 
Now--Apply (3) 1¼" of 50/50 mix of Composted Top Soil--and 80/20--Raw
 --and Water a 4th Time.

 
 
Finally--Apply (4) 1¼" of 80/20--Raw--
and Water a 5th Time.
