Why I Didn't Vote for Trump
000

Today--more than ever--we have to commit ourselves every day for the rest of our lives--to building a vigorous Democratic Party which represents--if we all vote--at least 2/3 of America.

MINORITY RULE--if the Republicans didn't believe they were substantially in the minority--they would not put so much effort into wrongfully attempting to disqualify potentially millions of voters--and creating new Congressional districts which are not representative of the overall politics of the state's population.

Unfortunately--Donald Trump has been recently elected as our next President--by people who are either allied with him--or who are delusional--too lazy to read a few newspapers every day--too lazy to learn that we have newspapers
who religiously try to keep us truly informed--along with many who try to play games with our little minds.

In the early 1970's--Richard Nixon--stating that no one is above the law--resigned as President of the United States. Today we have 2/3 of our Supreme Court--appointed for life--as opposed to elected--for limited terms--who believes they can make up their own rules--answerable to no one. There have been Wall Street workers--who have commented that the people THEY WERE--only a decade ago--would put the people THEY have become by today--in prison.

Today we have a monster running around loose--who is alleged to have committed dozens upon dozens of crimes--some of these crimes--if the alleged were duly tried and convicted--could well add up to more than a life sentence--even if the alleged were many years younger.
A LIST OF (ALLEGED) CRIMES and MISTAKES:

We must RE-build a vigorous Democratic Party--but also--there is no day in history any of us should ever shut up about these (alleged) crimes.

1) ATTEMPTS TO ILLEGALLY ALTER PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RESULTS IN 7 STATES.

Although Trump launched dozens of LEGAL challenges to the 2020 election results--every one of these was REJECTED by the Federal Courts--including the Supreme Court. But there were also efforts which were behind the scenes--and (may) have constituted serious CRIMES:
" ... Republican officials in 7 states--directed by Trump's personal attorney--created fraudulent electoral certificates of ascertainment to falsely assert Trump
had been reelected...".

_to_overturn_the_2020_United_States
_presidential_election

".... Prosecutors in Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Arizona and Wisconsin filed charges against fake electors. the other 2 states--Pennsylvania and New Mexico--used hedged language in their electors' documents that may have spared people from (criminal) charges..."
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/oct/22/trump-fake-elector-scheme-case-tracker

As of April 2024--"....36 of 84 fake electors have been criminally charged--10 face a civil lawsuit.... High-profile Trump affiliates have been charged with aiding the scheme: Mark Meadows, John Eastman, Boris Epshteyn, Rudy Giuliani, Jenna Ellis, Christina Bobb and Mike Roman...".

"... Former President Donald Trump was
indicted Tuesday by a Federal grand jury on 4 counts related to efforts to (illegally) overturn the 2020 Presidential election ....
Trump was charged with:
● conspiracy to defraud the US
● witness tampering
● conspiracy against rights of citizens
● obstruction of and attempt to obstruct
     an official proceeding.
The charges were unsealed 2 weeks after the former president said he had learned he may be indicted by a federal grand jury investigating the siege of the US Capitol on 06 jan 2021...."

If there wasn't infinite foot-dragging
with these prosecutions--especially of
Trump himself--he--if convicted and imprisoned (quite possibly for life without parole) --would never have run for ANY public office--EVER again.

As of 04 mar 2024--"... Formal challenges to Donald Trump's
presidential candidacy have been filed in at least 36 states, according to a New York Times review of court records and other documents ... ". Mr. Trump was actually disqualified from the primary ballots in Colorado, Illinois and Maine--but in fairly short order the (2/3 Republican) Supreme Court declared that Trump would be allowed onto the ballots of all 50 states.

In June 2019,

found Trump liable for defaming Carroll over her allegations .... In a written statement, (Roberta) Kaplan (Carroll's lawyer) said the verdict proved that nobody is above the law, "not even the president of the United States".... Carroll, in her own state-ment, said she sued Trump to "clear
my name and get my life back. Today, the world finally knows the truth. This victory is not just for me but for every woman who has suffered because she was not believed". ...".
