Between the African, Hispanic and Native American Farmers-- We Owe LAND REPARATIONS amounting to $1 Trillion dollars | ||||||||||||
Gen Wm T
Sherman
At the
conclusion of our Civil War--the former slaves were promised 40 acres
for each family.
Many citizens of America's inner cities today are the descendents of
America's Slaves. Although they basically never received their 40 acres--post 1865 they worked hard enough to become nearly one million
Black farmers by 1920--who at that time owned 14 % of America's Farm
Lands.
Agriculture Secretaries
Glickman /
Vilsack
Glickman:
" good people... lost their
family land, not because of a bad crop, not because of a flood, but
because of the color of their skin."
Over the next century nearly ALL OF THIS LAND--valued at $326 Billion--WAS LOST--not by laziness, mismanagement or bad weather....IT WAS ACTUALLY STOLEN--BY DEEPLY |
Congressman
John Conyers
ENTRENCHED
RACISM WITHIN THE US DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE--AND BY DISHONEST
NEIGHBORS.
How was
this possible ? With today's capital intensive agriculture--its necessary
for farmers to have many various large
machines--which require bank loans to procure.
With our
racist banking system--minority farmers
were almost
universally denied the credit they deserved at least as much as anyone
else.
It is also
necessary for
most
farmers to take out substantial loans at the start of every growing
season. who the farmers chiefly borrow from is the US Department of
Agriculture. Who decides to approve each loan--OR NOT--are local offices
of the USDA's Farm Service Agency (FSA).
Local Farm
Service Agency Committees have historically been comprised almost entirely
of white men. These committees--or racist gangs--if you will--have
approved their white friends' and neighbors' loans immediately.
|
At the same
time--year after century--they've taken even a whole year to approve the
loans of African, Hispanic and Native American farmers.
Because of
this RACIST ACTIVITY--the farmers of color--one after the
other--throughout the past century--went broke. Then their neighbors
bought their Hard-Earned /Sacred and Holy properties at auction--for far
less than market value. This activity continued thru the Civil Rights
era--and the Reagan and Bush Administrations.
Earlier in
the 20th century--
as the
African, Hispanic and Native American farmers undeservedly lost
everything
--millions
moved to Northern cities to find employment. For some reason--certain
parties in America would have us believe that Blacks in the Rural South
and Blacks in the Urban North are 2 unrelated and unconnected groups--when
it is the case they are absolutely related and connected--often--half of
the family remained in the South
--the other
half moved North.
Land Theft
from the Hispanic and Native American farmers
has been
very similar to Land Theft from th African American farmers. This brings
the total that we owe the 3 groups to right around
$1,000,000,000,000 or
1 Trillion
dollars. |
